Solution Description:
The archive log files which you are trying to delete is still needed for recovery.
If your archivelog destination is getting filled quickly means you have to look for modifying the retention policy for the archivelog backups in regular intervals and delete the archive logs after the successful backup.

backup archivelog all not backed up;
CROSSCHECK BACKUP DEVICE TYPE DISK;
DELETE NOPROMPT ARCHIVELOG ALL;
Or
backup archivelog all delete input format '/arch/…/arch_%d_%u_%s';
