'/oracle/app/oracle/product/db_1/prod/udump' for parameter user_dump_dest.

Solution Description:

Solution#1

The directory mentioned for user_dump_dest parameter is not a valid one. Please check the directory exist or not with proper read and write privilege.

You will have to modify the user_dump_dest initialization parameter with proper directory name and do the startup.

Solution#2

Even if you specified the correct directory for the user_dump_dust parameter with proper read, write privilege and still you are getting the following error. Then it looks like a Oracle bug 6079571 and it is fixed in Oracle release 11.1. Download the proper pathch from oracle metalink and apply.
