Error Description:

Oracle software installation failed with following error.

OUI-10094:Problem in saving inventory. Installation cannot continue.

Current access level does not allow writing to the inventory

Solution Description:

This error is because the inventory XML files are already present in the directory where you are going install and it is not allowing to rewrite the same with current installation. Most of the case it should happen when you try do a re-installation of Oracle on the system which you have tried one installation already.

In widows if you have to remove the entire software directory before go with the new installation. In UNIX, it will display the file names and you can give proper permissions again and give a retry. Or you can remove the entire software directory and try a fresh installation.
